Welcome to Radical Services

Radical was established in 1995 with a view to offering support to young people who were experiencing family or placement breakdown or other significant interruptions in their lives.

Radical now offers specialised crisis intervention programmes for short, medium and long term placements for young people up to the age of 18 years of either gender who are experiencing emotional and or behavioural difficulties.

Radical has rural homes in Scotland which are registered with the Care Commission and homes in the North West of England which are registered by OFSTED.

Radical teams use outdoor activities together with learning in the natural environment to divert young people into more positive cycles of behaviour.

The use of the outdoors is ideally suited to building relationships with adults, promoting self-esteem through personal achievement, and as a metaphor for the difficulties and challenges of every day.

We facilitate young people in developing more appropriate behavioural adaptations that ultimately help them manage difficulties and challenges in a more acceptable manner.
